Everything Flows From The Center

Revisiting Last Week's Content for Deeper Connection -- The starting point of all, in the middle of everything, the place everything returns to.

Disclaimer: We’re going to stay here for another post or two. Why? Because just as important as hearing the word is, so is meditating on it. So, I’d like to submit this to you. Instead of sharing new content week in and week out, let’s sit with something long enough to let it sizzle in our spirits and take root. Emphasize depth over volume, or put in other words, quality over quantity. If this proves ineffective after a little while, holla at me and we’ll pivot to something more effective.

This may or may not be the first time you’ve listened to this post. Whether it is or is not, let’s meditate on what it means for something to be centrally located.

When something is the center, everything flows from it. It is a starting point and a place for reconvening. In other words, everything goes out from the center and, at some point, returns to the center.

If you think about it, between everything, there exists a relationship, so it functions bi-directionally. In other words, there is a flow of energy that goes in the direction of both things that are in a relationship. So if energy starts on one end, you can bet energy will return.

De’Zhon, speaks English before you lose me. Okay, let’s open our eyes and minds here. Think of the Sun. It is in the center of our solar system, right? Do you know why this is this important?

Simply because of where it is located, the sun can keep our solar system intact with its gravitational pull, provide the light and heat necessary for life on Earth, cause Earth’s seasons to change without any season being life-threatening, and many more. On the flip, the gravitational pull of each planet influences the sun’s solar cycles and orbit.

Less nerdy, what about the heart? Simply because of its location, we can have efficient, even, and effective distribution of blood flow with minimal pressure differences. Our blood can take the quickest route needed to different organs. And our most vital organ is guarded by the ribcage for protection from external trauma. As we know, how we treat our bodies through stress management and nutrition can affect the health of our hearts. So, the two-way relationship is here too.

And now I see why the bible, a book about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit, draws so many parallels and lessons about the heart. There is so much significance placed on our hearts. Everything flows from it, literally and spiritually.

This is where God wants to be. The starting point for all, in the middle of everything, and the first place everything must come back to.

We’ll put a pin in things here and come back next week to look at the relationship between Jesus and our hearts from a biblical standpoint (verses included). And please, test these words. Look in the bible and get familiar with God’s truth for yourself. Do not rely solely on my interpretation.
